We are really proud of the fact that these lectures are becoming an annual event.
Last year the subject was Jesse Stephenson the suffragette, this year was Winifred Dallas York ,Duchess of Portland.
Two woman of equal determination albeit of different social class.
Both women lived in our neck of the woods within three miles of each other ,Jesse at South Thoresby and Winifred in Walmsgate.
A big thank you to Jean for delivering a fascinating entertaining and seamless lecture.
