COME & SING MESSIAH!

Experience Handel’s Messiah as you’ve never sung it before! St Faith’s Crosby Music is excited to present Sir Eugene Goossens’ monumental orchestration of Messiah, memorably recorded by Sir Thomas Beecham, as a #comeandsing on Sunday 27th Oct 2024. We will be performing alongside Crosby Symphony Orchestra in what we believe may be the first performance in the UK since the 1959 recording. Singers from all over the country are welcome to join us (don’t worry, the vocal parts are the same as standard editions so you don’t have to learn any new notes) to find out what it’s like to perform the Messiah with a symphony orchestra including four horns, three trombones, tuba, piccolo, contrabassoon, harp, triangle, cymbals, and bass drum.

St. Faith’s church is in Crosby, L22 4QQ, just north of Liverpool city centre and the day will start with a rehearsal at 2.30pm and performance (also free to attend) at 6.30pm.
