Heritage Open Afternoon

Occurring
for 3 hours
Venue
Sefton Parish Church
Address
Sefton Parish Church, Bridges Lane Sefton Liverpool, L29 7WG, United Kingdom

A unique opportunity to visit a Grade 1 listed building, a place of continuous Christian worship for over 850 years.
There will be guides available to answer your questions and there are several signposts around church to follow. A detailed guidebook (£12) will be available to purchase. There will be some items for sale, a craft table for children and adults to "have a go" and a café selling tea/coffee and biscuits. There will be help available with family history or graveyard enquiries.

We are very pleased to announce that Ken Hughes Stonemason’s are going to visit us. Stonemasons carve and shape stone blocks, and lay and fit stonework on construction, conservation and restoration projects. There will be demonstrations, a display of work and an opportunity for anyone to “have a go” at this ancient craft.

St Oswald Church and Community Centre

St Oswald's is a Church of England Church on the outskirts of Liverpool, in Netherton. It is 1 of the 2 churches, St. Helen's Church in Sefton village being the other, in the Team Ministry of Netherton and Sefton.

We're a busy church with lots of community activities and groups, as well as close links to St Oswald's C. of E. Primary School next door to the church.

We believe that there is a God with whom we can have a relationship through his Son Jesus Christ, and that God is active in the world today by the Holy Spirit. We're seeking both to grow in our relationship with God and to join in with the work of the Spirit. Our strapline is... 'sharing the warmth of God's love with all people,' and we want to make a real difference to the community of Netherton in which we are based.
