After seven long years, work began on June 2nd to improve the space in our church, making it accessible to all. Steps will be replaced with ramps, Wooden doors replaced with automatic glass doors, and the central nave area will be furnished with beautiful comfortable seats which can be moved for weddings and funerals. The basic kitchen will be replaced to allow us to be able to offer hospitality to all, and we hope to be able to hold more community events in this fabulous new space.
All this work has only been possible because of a legacy we received, from a very kind and generous lady Marion Green, for which we are extremely grateful.
We are also seeking grant funding to enable us to complete the works.
More details are on the Opening the Doors leaflet attached.
We are looking forward to completing the work, and welcoming everybody back into our beautiful church!
