We were thinking about light, especially light in the darkness as the dark nights draw in. We made pumpkin lanterns and paper lanterns, colourful candles and messy play. 

The children’s pumpkins will be outside church over Halloween, the evening before All Saints Day, their lights shining out and dispelling the darkness.

“I am the light of the world” Jesus said, (John 8:12) He is our light and our hope in these troubled times.
