Bishop Ruth, the Bishop of Liverpool visited us today on the first day of Advent, to talk to us about preparation for Christmas, the celebration of Christ's birth. Emmanuel, literally God with us, as God became flesh and lived amongst us. Bishop Ruth talked about the importance of being prepared, not just for Christmas, but to share the gospel with those we know so that they might also find hope and joy in Christ.

Bishop Ruth shared that she thought that the renovations that we have done to make the church more accessible were fantastic, and she blessed not just the buildings but the congregation so that we might tell others about the Good News.

It was a wonderful service filled with the excitement of preparation for the next four weeks until Christmas Day, and the celebration of Jesus birth. Alleluia!
