Bereavement Support

When we loss someone we love, we find ourselves on a journey through grief, a journey we would rather not be on at all. But we have no choice but to stumble along, trying to come to terms with our loss, trying to keep going. Family members can help, but some of them are too busy or live too far away and sometimes we don't want to upset them by talking about our grief.

Many of us find it helps to meet together for a chat and a cup of tea. Sometimes it helps to that others are on a same journey and we are not on our own.

A bereavement support group called LYNK-UP meet once a month(every 3rd Thursday from 2pm to 4pm in the Hall of St John's). You would be very welcome.

If you want any information ring Barbara on 01925 224647

Safeguarding

Our parish of Earlestown: St John is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Liverpool’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [please click the 'Read more' button below to show the diocesan safeguarding page]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
