The school is very popular, and governors have agreed admissions criteria for the school which is strictly applied. Full details can be found on page 24 of the St Helens Primary Education Booklet 2026/27

If you are applying for a place in September 2026 and hope to qualify under criteria 2 or 4 you must submit your evidence of church attendance directly to the school office on Birley Street, Newton-leWillows WA12 9UR. This should be in the form of signed attendance records for St Peter's Church. If you attend another church this should be confirmed in writing by the appropriate minister of religion or religious leader. You must also complete the online application form on the St Helen's website no later than 15th January 2026

Please ensure that you have your “attendance card for school admission” stamped before you leave church if you are planning to use your attendance at church to secure a higher priority place for your child.
