Concert by student composers at the Guildhall School

Occurring
for 2 hours, 30 mins
Venue
St Clement with St Barnabas King Square
Address
Finsbury, EC1V 8DA, United Kingdom

An evening of new music drawing on abandoned, buried and lost materials.
The sounds of the world we try to tune out. Unfinished work we try to bury. The songs we sing as babies and can't quite remember. Sometimes the melodies we believe we've outgrown find a way back out of our unconscious to spark new creative exploration.
Music: Lost and Found is an evening of new music about uncovering what was buried and remembering what was forgotten. Four new works for chamber ensemble by student composers at the Guildhall School appear next to fragments of Beethoven, all taking place in the historic St.Clements Church in Kings Square, Finsbury:
The concert includes new music by CJ Brooke, Mylo Pape, Lucy Cooke and Alexander Cann, performed by Rosa Jones, Fergus Butt, Charlie Potts, Erin Snape, Izzy Nisbett and Freya Cambell, and conducted by Jacob Cavendish.

St Clement with St Barnabas King Square

St Clement’s is a welcoming, diverse and growing parish of the Diocese of London in the Church of England. God’s love in Jesus Christ inspires us to love and serve those of all faiths and none who live within our parish boundaries between the City Road, Goswell Road and Old Street. As Christians, the people of St Clement's seek to share our experience of God’s life and love revealed to us through our Lord Jesus Christ, and to grow in faith, hope and love. St Clement’s is very much a neighbourhood church and we are glad to have gained a reputation for giving a warm, friendly and inclusive welcome. St Clement's is proud to be a member of the Inclusive Church Network.
