On Wednesday afternoon on the 30th April 2025, a car crashed into a main church wall. The people in the car were not seriously injured, however the building sustained potential structural damage and the church was evacuated. The building remains out of use until the building has been assessed as safe. This is why St James held its main Sunday Service in the car park! 

The service was led by Akin, who spoke on John 21 v 1-19. He reminded us that "With or without the building, St James exists"  and "the church is the people of God". Our children's worship group led the singing.

St James will continue to meet in the car park on Sundays at 10.30am until the building is confirmed safe. We would love to see you, however don't forget this is the UK, so please bring your coats!
