The wait is over and Revd Adel Shokralla was installed and instituted as the Parish Priest of St James Alperton in December 2025. Installed and instituted sounds fancy, however in everyday terms, this means he has been given, and has accepted, his new job description. His job description, in a nutshell, is to care for the spiritual needs of the people in his church and parish. 

Revd Adel comes to us with over 20 years experience of church leadership, both in the UK and in Egypt. He has background in computer science and graphic design and the church is already benefitting from his expertise in this area. (Do check out our new website, Facebook, Instagram accounts) 

At the installing and instituting service, key people who knew Revd Adel were given the opportunity to tell the St James congregation about him. People spoke in glowing terms, using words such as "good listener" and "cares for people" amongst other recommendations. 

He was welcomed by Cllr Ryan Hack, the current Mayor of the London Borough of Brent, Barry Gardiner, MP for Brent West, the Bishop of Willesden Rt Revd Lusa Nsenga-Ngoy  and of course, the congregation of St James Alperton. 

He is truly God's 2025 Christmas present to St James Church Alperton and the Parish of Alperton.
