Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 18th February. There will be a Parish Service at 8pm in St Andrew’s Uxbridge, in addition to the 12:30pm service in St Margaret’s Uxbridge.A Quiet Morning for Lent will take place on Saturday 21st February from 9:30am to 12:30pm in St Andrew’s Hall and Church. Since the earliest days of the church, Christians have found that remembering Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, through the sharing of bread and wine, has been a special way of drawing closer to JesusIt still is. For Holy Communion helps us to understand God’s story more fully and to find our own place within it. Now we are really excited to invite your child to join us for this year’s First Holy Communion preparation. It’s a special journey, and we would love them to be part of it.Preparation for Holy Communion is a six-week course starting on 14 January 2026. It will take place at 3:30pm on Wednesdays at St Andrew’s Church, Uxbridge, and is intended for children in School Years 3 and upwards.The First Holy Communion Service will take place on Sunday 15 February 2026, and in the weeks leading up to it we will be running a series of engaging, child-friendly sessions to help the children understand and experience the meaning of Holy Communion.To help you find all the details easily, we’ve put everything together in the information sheet which you can download.
