About Us

We are first and foremost a community of prayer, hope and loving service, fully engaged with the Manchester Diocesan vision of being a transforming Christian presence in the heart of the community of Blackley.

We have two regular services each week:

Thursdays 11.00am informal Worship to open the Community Hub session

Sundays 11.30am Holy Communion or Morning Worship. The first Sunday of each month is a family orientated service, where our children and young people take a more active role in leading worship.

Sunday School - we offer a Sunday School for children and young people at 11.30am on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month.

We also offer other services at different times, such as Carol Services, Services of Healing and Wholeness, and Praise Services. You are welcome to join us for all of these. Just keep an eye on our calendar page and our "What's On" page for more details.

St Paul's church is on Victoria Avenue and can be seen from the junction with Rochdale Road and Victoria Avenue.

It is possible to access the church grounds on foot from the main gate on Victoria Avenue, or via the alternative gate on Erskine Road when the church is open. There is ample parking available off-peak times on Victoria Avenue and for those with mobility problems there is parking available all the time on Erskine Road to the rear of the church. There are no steps if you come into the church grounds from the Erskine Road entrance. There is a ramp access to the front of the church hall for those with mobility problems or for those with small children in pushchairs.

There is a warm welcome for all. We believe in being an inclusive Church – church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.

Please note that we do not hire out the Church Hall for private events or parties.
