Longest Night - Memorial Service

Occurring
for 2 hours
Venue
St Paul's Church Blackley
Address
St Paul Blackley Victoria Avenue Blackley Manchester M9 6RA, M9 6RA, United Kingdom

We recognise and understand that Christmas time can be a difficult time, particularly if you are missing a loved one. The Longest Night Memorial Service aims to bring people together who are mourning the loss of loved ones, and those who just want to bring their grief or loneliness to God. We read out the names of those we have done funerals for during the last year, and there is an opportunity for you to write the name of your loved ones on a Christmas ornament to hang on the special prayer tree in church. There is a buffet supper after the service and you are invited to join us for as much of the evening as you wish to.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Blackley: St Paul is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Taron Entwistle, or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor through the Diocesan website.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
