Please note that, due to vital work being carried out on our toilets, this event will be re-located on
Monday 29th July and Monday 5th August to The Sycamore Inn - opposite Stamford Park gates.
The event on 12th August has sadly had to be cancelled.
St Gabriel's Church opens its doors every Monday morning from 9.30 till 12.00 to invite people from the community in to our building to enjoy a free drink and refreshments. This is not just for church members but for everybody in the neighbourhood who would like to come along.

We hope that people will come along to socialise and just enjoy each other's company. During the morning we aim to provide simple entertainment such as a quiz sheet, some armchair aerobics, bingo, craft activities etc. We are sure that some of you may even have your own skills to share!

However, none of these are obligatory - you may prefer to just sit and chat - and that is perfectly fine!
There is no charge for anything - our aim is just to offer a warm and safe place where people feel safe to connect, belong and contribute.

Do join us! If you would like to come but you are struggling to get there, please call one of us and we will do what we can to arrange transport for you.

Pandemic lockdown restrictions have now been eased and our churches can now open for public worship. These services will be different from those we are used to, as we have to ensure that our buildings are Covid-19 Secure and do our best to protect all those who come inside.

Initially, 3 of our churches will be opening for Morning Prayer only, on Sunday mornings - there will not be Holy Communion just yet.
Adhering to Government Guidance, strict social distancing measures will be in place, which mean that every person or household group must be 2 metres from the next person or household group.
Following risk assessments carried out in all our churches there will be restrictions on numbers attending. Hand sanitisers and one-way systems will be in place to ensure that all movements into and out of churches and during worship are safe.
We will not be allowed to sing during services and any responses must be given quietly.
Liturgy will be on disposable sheets which can be taken home or disposed of after the service.
There will not be any refreshments after the services.
Please note that those who are clinically vulnerable/shielding, or who have symptoms of a continuous cough or a high temperature or loss of or change to sense of smell or taste, should not attend church.
A welcomer will greet people coming into church and help you to comply with these guidelines.
