About Us

Lydgate St Anne is one of the seven parishes which form the  Saddleworth Benefice (The Team) within the Diocese of Manchester.  Lydgate St. Anne's is located on Stockport Road in the centre of Lydgate village. It is a large Parish and comprises Lydgate, Grasscroft, Grotton, Springhead, and parts of Scouthead and Austerlands. We offer a warm welcome to all, whether regular worshipper or occasional visitor, young or older.  Activity bags are available for pre-school children and there is an also a quiet space . Our services are based on the Common Worship liturgy.

Junior Church is held in the Parish Hall every Sunday and joins the congregation for the Eucharistic Prayer. Junior Church is very much enjoyed by the children.  They are always eager to show and tell us what they have learned.  We are very fortunate to have a number of Junior Church Leaders.  On the first Sunday of each month we hold a Lay Led service which is family friendly.

The Parish Hall, across the road from church, is used for many church-related and community activities.

The Parish has achieve its Bronze and Silver Eco Award and the plaques are proudly displayed by the main entrance.  

The Social and Fundraising Committee arrange a variety of activities throughout the year and always welcome new members and fresh ideas.
