St Matthew
St Matthew’s stands in what was formerly the railway village of Waskerley which has largely been demolished following the closure of the railway line. The character of the church has changed little. Both it’s facade and interior are utilitarian and spartan in appearance, with plain wooden furnishings. It is still lit by gaslight and very unique.

St James
St James is a very pretty church, designed, along with the rest of our small village, by Teulon, a prominent Victorian architect. The church sits at the heart of our small community and is treasured.
We have five services a year, all very well attended, and always followed by famously substantial refreshments, giving us a welcome opportunity to continue in fellowship.
