Come along with all the family to our Christingle service
as we explore the meaning of the Christian story, make a Christingle and support the work of the
Children’s Society. Followed by Christmas tree lighting in the garden, carol singing, mince pies
and mulled wine. Please note there will be a collection at this service for the Children’s Society

On the first Sunday of each month at 4pm, we have a service aimed especially at
families with children.
It is called First @ Four and lasts about an hour. It is held in the church hall behind
St John’s Church on Meadowfield Road.
Each month we explore a story from the Bible through songs activities, crafts and
sometimes drama. We share food and have some fun. It is very informal and
everyone is welcome.
This service is usually Holy Communion but once a month there is a service of the word in its stead.

Everyone is welcome to this service, but it is especially suitable for those who might struggle to get
to church on Christmas Day,
Come and join us as we retell the Christmas story through Scripture readings and carols,
followed by mince pies and mulled wine.
Don’t forget to bring a torch!
Come along and join the fun as we
retell the story of Christmas with help from the youngest members of the family who are invited to
dress up as characters in the story. Just turn up in plenty of time – we have lots of costumes or
come with your own.

Come along with all the family as we retell the Christmas story in an interactive way for children of all ages, from 0-
80+.
On the fourth Sunday of each month at 4pm, we have With Open Hands - a mini
retreat held in St John’s church, Meadowfield Road.
Lasting no longer than 45-50 minutes, we give ourselves time to step aside, stop and
think. Month by month, we have varying themes with readings, music and periods of
quiet reflection.
