Fundraising

For centuries the parish church has been the place where Haydon Bridge has celebrated baptisms and weddings, and commemorated loved ones at funerals and thanksgiving services. In these and other ways the church continues to bring together people from right across the wider community in this part of West Tynedale.

This important work comes at a high cost. Each year we need to raise at least £35,000 to fund the work of the Parish and maintain our church buildings. Three quarters of this is met by the personal generosity of people living in our Parish and through various fundraising events throughout the year.

If you feel that you might be able to help support the work and plans of St Cuthbert’s please consider making a one-off or regular donation. Donations can be made in the following ways:

  • Cheques can be made payable to ‘St Cuthbert’s Haydon Bridge PCC’.

  • Card donations can be made using the card machine at the back of the church.
  • Cash donations are gratefully received during the offertory on a Sunday morning

If you are a tax payer please fill in the gift aid form which helps your donation go even further.

Thank you for your support which underpins St Cuthbert’s work as a parish church, and ensures that we can continue to be a worshipping presence serving Haydon Bridge in the years to come.
