Lent study group

Occurring
Every Thursday at for 1 hour
Venue
St Helen
Address

Our parish Lent course this year is called “Resonances and Echoes – the Witness of the Old Testament.” For each day through to Easter there is a reading taken from the Old Testament which seems to find an “echo or resonance” in the life and teaching of Jesus. The idea is simply to look again at what the Old Testament may have to offer, despite its sometimes baffling contents. With each reading there is also a prayer, a hymn or poem, and a question to think about.
If you are interested in receiving course materials or would like to join the group please contact Andrew Patterson by email at [email protected].

Our parish of Whitley: St Helen is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.
