Each Friday the church is open for Morning Coffee and a chance to meet up with old friends and make new ones in the Jubilee hall from 10am. Refreshments are served and the church is open for those who wish to take a look around. All welcome each week and chance to find out what we are doing during the year regarding out 90th Birthday celebrations.

We are part of an international and inclusive network of 4 million members across the Anglican Communion in 90 countries, serving Christ in our communities through prayer, financial support and actively engaging in programmes that meet local needs.Mothers Union was founded in 1876 and Newcastle Diocese was one of the first in the world to embrace MU as part of its mission and ministry to families in local communities.
Holy Nativity MU branch supports a number of local projects including AFIA (Away From It All) holidays for families in need, local refuges and People’s Kitchen.

Members meet on the first Monday of each month at 2pm in the Jubilee Hall. There is often a visiting speaker and refreshments served. You are welcome to attend these meetings if you are wondering about becoming a member.

The Newcastle 80th Brownies meet each Monday from 6-7:30pm at the Holy Cross Church Parish Hall. The group is open for girls aged between 7&10 Years Old. The Brownies have a variety of different social activities following the Girl Guiding Program, working for badges and learning new skills There are outings and plenty of fun to be had. This year Holy Cross will be hosting there Lent Lunch on the 4th March at 12 Noon. Holy Cross being part of the Churches Together in Fenham host a lunch of Soup, Bread and fresh fruit as a lunch during Lent. All Welcome to join in this shared lunch. The lunch will follow our morning communion service.

A period of contemplative pray each evening as we prepare for Maundy Thursday and the crucifixion and preparation for the resurrection of Jesus. A period of quiet and reflection with prayer, mindfulness that deepens the faith.

Maundy Thursday, Thursday of the Lord's Supper. A service that marks the beginning of the Paschal Triduum, and commemorates the Washing of the Feet (Maundy) and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles, as described in the canonical gospels. A powerful and emotive service as we journey with Christ in his final hours as we watch and wait during the vigil.

The Veneration of the Cross is a central part of the Good Friday liturgy, reflecting on the Passion of Christ and the meaning of His sacrifice. This practice is not an act of worship directed at the physical cross itself but rather a recognition of its role in salvation. The cross, once a symbol of shame, has become a sign of hope and redemption for Christians. A service of deep pray and reflection.

The Easter Eve Service of Light is a solemn and reflective service that begins with the lighting of candles, symbolizing God's presence and the hope of resurrection. The service includes readings from the Bible, prayers, and the proclamation of the Easter Proclamation, known as the Exsultet.

A joyous service of song and worship as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with a service of the Eucharist.
