Nine Lessons and Carols, also known as the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols and Service of Nine Lessons and Carols. The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings or lessons from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir anthems. A service of contemplation and reflection.

Our service will be followed by Mulled Wine & Mince Pies as we continue our fellowship together.

We would love to welcome you into our Church Family here at Holy Cross.
We are a friendly, all-inclusive community whose ages range from birth to the nineties, and gather together to worship God on Sundays at 10 a.m. The service lasts for around a hour.

Our worship is varied. On the first and third Sundays of each month we have a Family Service, and we are delighted that the first of these is always led by our young people. On the remaining weeks our worship is more traditional. We love to worship God in word and song.

We especially welcome families with young children and we have a very popular children's area where it is good to hear the sounds of young voices as they play during our service.

Baptisms and weddings continue to be a very important part of our church family life.

When the service ends we meet for tea or coffee, then make our way home for Sunday lunch.
