St Bartholomew

Welcome To St Bartholomew's, Whittingham. We are a Church of England parish church and we welcome all who wish to visit or worship with us. We have three churches, St Bartholomew, St John the Baptist, Edlingham and Bolton Chapel. All three are beautiful stone buildings, all Grade 1 listed and of historical note. Please do visit them.

Worship is at the heart of our life as the people of God in Whittingham. At the centre of all that we do and are, is the Eucharist which is celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 10.00am, also at 8.30am on the 2nd Sunday. Refreshments are serviced after the 10.00am celebration.

The parish of Whittingham & Edlingham w Bolton Chapel is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
