A candlelit service of special seasonal readings and music for the season of Advent, sung by the Cathedral choir, with readings by members of the Cathedral community and people affected by kidney disease. All are welcome to join us for this beautiful service as we begin our journey towards Christmas.

Join in well known carols alongside staff from North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, and bring presents for the Giving Tree initiative to ensure that children who wouldn’t otherwise get a Christmas gift have something to celebrate. Family-friendly service for all ages. On the shortest day of the year, light a candle to welcome the birth of Christ the Light of the World.

We begin in Cathedral Square with a retelling of the Nativity story (and hopefully real donkeys!) before heading to the Cathedral for the ever popular Christingle service.
