Mosaic Guitar Ensemble was formed in 2012, when a group of like-minded classical guitar enthusiasts began looking for a more intensive and progressive guitar ensemble. Under the direction of Chris Stell they sought to expand on the musical achievements gained at various guitar festivals and workshops and the result, "Mosaic" came together with a shared passion for the guitar in ensemble. Amanda Cook took over the baton in January 2024 and they continue to perform repertoire to a high standard, and give concerts raising funds for charity.

Current Members: Musical Director: Amanda Cook
Paul Thomas - Jay Huff - Chris Gillson - Vince Smith - Andrew Richardson - Sue Chick - Hazel Inskip - Garry Elliott

Our repertoire for our Chalton concert represents music across time. One highlight is the first public performance of The Space Between Us by Christopher Stell. This was written during Covid lockdown for the group. In 8 parts, each of which is allocated to players by name, the piece reflects on the people and things we were missing. It look forward to a time when people would be able to meet again and was originally titled For A New Beginning.

Refreshments will be served after the concert.

Tickets £10 at the door or in advance from [email protected] 023 9225 1664
