When there is a 5th Sunday in the month we take the opportunity to gather our parish congregations to worship together. We have an 8am service (Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion) and a later service (Common Worship).

St James Church

Our Bible verse for 2026: "As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.“

St James is a friendly Christian community, with a traditional small village church building, belonging to the Church of England in the Portsmouth Diocese.

On most Sundays our main service starts at 11.15am and alternates between a Holy Communion service and a non-Communion service. The is an 8am Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion Service on the 4th Sunday of each month. In August we alternate service with All Saints Catherington at 10am - see our service details for more information
