WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE!

We are friendly, welcoming church family, in the heart of the Sandown community.  We have a variety of services each month, which include traditional services of Holy Communion and an informal café style service called "Food for Thought," with songs, readings and prayers.

We have two halls which are used by various community groups.  These are available for hire.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Sandown: St John the Evangelist is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and will shortly have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Portsmouth’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Team, pending the appointment of our own PSO..

The Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor can be reached using the contact detail via the link below,

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
