Do you enjoy a chat with friendly people? Why not come along to one of our regular coffee mornings? You’ll find a warm welcome, a choice of delicious home-made cakes to go with your coffee or tea, and a chance to make new friends. We invite you to join us on the second Saturday of every month from 10 am to 11.30 am at St. Swithin’s church. We would like to involve the community more, so if there are any home bakers out there who would like to contribute a cake or some pastries, or anyone willing to help host it by serving or helping with washing up, please speak to one of us. We hope to see you soon, whether as a helper or just to enjoy the coffee and chat.

Communion was first celebrated by Jesus with his disciples during the Last Supper before his death. When we take communion, we are remembering Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross.
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Luke Chapter 22, verses 19 and 20.

Morning Prayer is a wonderful, ancient form of worship that is centred around bible readings and communal prayer. It is part of the "Daily Office," a rhythm of prayer (Morning, Evening, etc.) intended to sanctify the whole day.

Please join us in remembering the sacrifice of the fallen and giving thanks for the peace and freedom we enjoy.
