Maundy Thursday Passover meal

Occurring
for 14 hours
Venue
Dore Methodist Church Hall
Address
Dore Methodist Church Hall, Dore Methodist Church Hall High Street, Dore, Sheffield, S17 3GU, S17 3GU, United Kingdom

Book now for the 'Introduction to Passover' meal at 7pm on Maundy Thursday (2nd April). Our time together will include an informal evening meal, explanation of what happens in a Passover meal, and some of the liturgy still used at Passover today.

Jesus gave the Passover a new meaning when he led the disciples in their celebration of one of the most important Jewish festivals, on the day before he died. Peter and Anna de Lange will lead us through some of the Jewish wording for the meal, and show how it forms the background to our Communion service. "

Places can be booked via the church office, with a suggested contribution of £10 towards the food costs.

Christ Church Dore

Thanks for visiting our church webpage.

Christ Church Dore is a friendly, welcoming and caring christian community. People who attend our church mainly live within a few miles of the village centre but, wherever your home is, you are ensured of a warm welcome.

Our Sunday and midweek services cater for a range of styles and forms of worship. Our Sunday 10am main service is family friendly with provision for children; it is also livestreamed. There are a number of active House Groups that meet during the week to support and develop people in their faith.

As a church we enjoy active community outreach links with The Grace foodbank, support services and The Oakes, a christian holiday centre for school age children and young adults.
