There will be no service at St George's on Sunday 27th July. Instead we will be joining the congregations of our Mission Area at St James, South Anston at 10am. Messy Vintage is an informal service for seniors, involving worship, a craft and afternoon tea.Our next Messy Vintage is on Sunday 31st August, 3-5pm in St George's Church. Doors open 2.30pm.The theme is 'Worries'.There is no charge for this, but you will need a ticket in order to help with catering. Tickets are available from church or tel 01909 564094.
Following the success of our recent VE Day celebration, we will be holding a VJ Day, 80 years on, celebration at St George's Church, Woodsetts on Friday, August 15th, 3.00 - 5.00pm. Our next Messy Church is on Saturday 20th September 2025. Doors open at 9.45am so please arrive in good time for a prompt start at 10am. We will finish at 12.30pm.Messy Church welcomes all ages and offers crafts, activities, worship and story centred on a particular Bible theme. In the past we have had Old Testament sessions on Daniel in the Lion’s Den, Samson, and Noah’s Ark, and New Testament ones on the Good Samaritan, Christmas, and Easter and Pentecost. Our sessions end with the sharing of food and fellowship.Messy Church is an ideal way for families to explore their faith together; children, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all welcome.Children must be accompanied, and we ask you to bring a named water bottle for each child, as we don’t use disposable plastic cups any more.
