As we journey through September and begin to step into Autumn it has become apparent how early some of the harvesting has been completed in our rural parishes. So our PCC has decided to raise funds and bring food items for two causes this Harvest. Firstly, tinned and packeted foods for the DN7 Foodbank, if you have been supported by them in the past, can you give back? Secondly, for Tear Fund, we are known as one of the biggest donators from one of the most deprived areas, such a privilege to give to others, no matter how big or small. Lets us be thankful for the many things we have, lets us give thanks, for how we can help and support another.
We had a blast, with a puppet show, crafts, singing, discussing a question, sharing in beautiful food and hot drinks from the bring and share. Such a lovely way to be in nature, with others, praising our Lord. Our numbers were more this year than last years, and people asked can we do this type of service more often.
