About Us

The Parish of S.S. Leonard and Jude Scawsby.

S. Luke's is now closed and no longer licensed for acts of public worship.

The services and events for St. Leonard's are included as are the services for the other churches in our mission partnership, All Saints Arksey and St. Philip and St. James, Victoria Road, New Bentley.

St. Leonard's is open for communal worship and private prayer. All restrictions put in place to combat the Covid Pandemic have now been lifted . Individuals are still asked to act sensibly and responsibly because although the virus has not gone away, we do have to learn to live with it. If you still prefer to take your own precautions such as wearing a mask or hand sanitizing then please do so.

SAFEGUARDING.

As a parish we take seriously the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We have formally adopted the House of Bishop's 'Promoting a Safer Church' policy statement and a copy is displayed in the parish church. The Church Council has a current Parish Safeguarding Policy relating to children, young people and vulnerable adults. A current DBS (criminal record check) is in place for the Parish Safeguarding Officer and those meeting the eligibility criteria.

The Parish Safeguarding Officer is Tony Lindley who along with the Parish Priest are ultimately responsible for any matters of concern relating to children, young people and vulnerable adults. Contact details are on display in the Parish Church and on the parish website along with contact details for other organisations who may be of assistance to this same group of people.
