The Lady Richeldis experienced a series of Marian visions in which the Blessed Virgin Mary showed her the house in Nazareth where the Holy Family once lived and where the Annunciation occurred. She had built a replica house in her village of Walsingham in North Norfolk. Now known as the Holy House the shrine revered as a place of pilgrimage for many centuries and to this day and is dedicated to the mystery of the sacred Annunciation.
This is only a glimpse of the Walsingham story.

You are very welcome at all of our services and events either here at St. Luke's or at the parish church of St. Leonard and St. Jude, Barnsley Road, Scawsby. St. Luke's is what we call our daughter church, a place of mission and we hope a place to grow the Christian faith in Scawthorpe.
