It is good to meet together, and each week we have enjoyed hearing the bells being rung before the services – so, many thanks to Shirley Barnett and her team of volunteer ringers. We are now meeting in the Chancel, which is much easier to heat! We are serving coffee & biscuits after our services, giving us the opportunity to chat! All are welcome to join us.

We will be holding a Taizé-style service on Tuesday 19 May at 6 pm. You are very welcome to come along to these quiet and meditative services, using some of the lovely Taizé music, with readings and quiet stillness.

With effect from the first Sunday in January 2024, Sue Waterston will be leading this service on the first Sunday of each month. You are very welcome to join us for this informal service, and have a cup of coffee afterwards.

Once a year, the Soar Boating Club celebrates its birthday with a special weekend, which includes a service in St James Church at 11 am. This year, the service will be on Sunday 7th June, led by The Revd Simon Richardson – and it will be the Club’s 73rd Birthday! As usual, the Mayor of Rushcliffe will be invited.

After the service, the Soar Boating Club kindly invites the congregation to the Boat Club for a buffet lunch. You would be very welcome to join us.
