There will be no 9:30 am service on Sunday, but we would like to extend a welcome to everyone to come along to our Harvest Festival service at 5 pm. As a rural community, it is good to celebrate Harvest Festival – to give thanks for all that is produced and to acknowledge all the hard work during the year by our local farmers. We welcome your flowers in the church and gifts of tins and dry food for the Carpenter’s Arms. This year, the service will be led by Sue Waterston.

After the service, the congregation will be invited to stay for a glass of wine and canapés. As usual, the Collection at our Harvest Festival service will be for our Charity of the Year, which this year is Pasic whose aim is to support families in the East Midlands through a childhood cancer diagnosis. As you may know, little Gabriel Johnson at Cedars Farm is undergoing treatment for Leukaemia at QMC and Pasic have been there for Gabriel and his family since he was diagnosed last year.
