Children, Youth & Families

We have two part time Children, Youth & Families Co-Leads- Leslie Avendano ([email protected]) and Sue Buckby ([email protected]). 

We also have Wendy Cranefield ([email protected])- our Community Connector- who runs activities through our Community Wellbeing Hub both after school and in the holidays. Below are our regular activities, but please do see our website calendar for more details: Calendar | StPaul'sBoundaryRoad

St Paul's is an Inclusive Church and we welcome all children to our events, including those with additional needs and differing requirements.

Saturdays:

Messy Church! 3.45-5.15pm on 3rd Saturdays. This is a completely free family event, running once a month on the third Saturday (except in August). We have some songs and a short Bible story, then lots of arts and crafts and meal to share together. Lots of fun for little ones and their families - come along and get creative! Saturday Youth (for school years 7-13) 1st and 3rd Saturdays. This runs in our church halls from 7-9pm and includes sports, games, tuck shop, milkshakes, space to hang out and sometimes includes a short time of reflection around a Bible passage. Please contact Leslie for more details.

Sundays:

Sunday Groups- on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays, in our 10.30am service, we run two Sunday morning groups- Reception to Y4, and Y5+

We typically go out after the first songs and return to the service at about 11.30 to rejoin with families. We do not currently have led provision for pre-school age. For families with younger children, you are welcome to remain in the service- there is a special area with activities- or the service is live streamed in the café if you would be more comfortable.

On the 2nd Sundays we stay in together for a cafe-style all age service.

Football Church- on the 3rd Sunday we run two football sessions at Rushcliffe FSM. Ages 6-11 (Y2-6) is at 1.30pm followed by ages 11-17 (Y7-13) at 2.30pm. Details and booking at Football Church | StPaul'sBoundaryRoad or contact Sue.

Mondays:

Relax, Refresh, Restore- is for primary and infants children, along with their parents/carers. It's a chance to unwind after a busy school day and ground ourselves with calming and creative activities. There is no charge for the club, but please do sign up so we can ensure enough materials and snacks are provided. Our next sessions start on Monday 12th January. Tuesdays: 

Youth Space- Tuesdays from 3-4pm in term time we run a youth drop in, with a free drink and Wi-Fi, in our community café space. Aimed at school years 7+ but families with younger children are also welcome to pop in! Stay and play some games, or grab a drink and be on your way- it's entirely up to you. Please note- our café will still be open to the public at the time and our CYF team are on hand to ensure a safe environment for all to enjoy.

Wednesdays:

Toddlers at St. Paul's- Wednesdays in term time from 10.15-11.30am. Stay and play with toys, do crafts, grab a drink and end with a singalong- all are welcome. £1 suggested donation per family.

School Holidays...

Craft Club- 9.30am-11am on Mondays and Tuesdays in schools holidays- Free art, craft and play sessions for younger children to enjoy with their parents and carers.

Youth Space- 11.30am-12.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays in school holidays- Drop-in sessions for those in y6 - y13 with free hot chocolate or cold drink, space to chill with friends and play table tennis or board games.
