During Lent we will be running the Living in Love and Faith course each Monday evening at the Vicarage. This course offers a chance to explore questions of identity, relationships and Christian teaching in an open and thoughtful way. Through short films, discussion and reflection, it creates space to listen, learn and share views respectfully.

Everyone is welcome, whether you simply want to listen or to take part in the conversation. The course begins at 7.30pm each Monday throughout Lent.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Golcar: St John the Evangelist is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Karen Locke or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
