International pianist Jill Crossland, originally from West Yorkshire, comes to St John's with a programme including pieces by Bach and Chopin. Jill is known for her imaginative but authoritative interpretations of the classical repertoire. Her recording of the complete Bach '48' was described by the Penguin Guide as 'a remarkable achievement, ranking with the finest.' Jill has played extensively in the UK and abroad, including a number of appearances at Wigmore Hall and South Bank in London, the Vienna Musikverein and Leipzig Gewandhaus. Locally, Jill has performed in Bradford Cathedral, Dewsbury Minster and Town Hall and Halifax Minster.
