All are welcome to attend our midweek Eucharist (Holy Communion). This service is known as a Said Service which means there will be no hymns or singing. This means that usually the service is shorter than a Sunday Eucharist. At the end of the service you may wish to be anointed with healing oils and receive a blessing from the priest.

After the service there is the option to stay in church for approximately an hour for an informal relaxed Bible Study.

From May 1st to August 2nd 2025 there will be temporary changes to the times and locations of our Sunday Eucharists (Holy Communion). All services within this period will be combined between our churches giving all our congregations the opportunity to gather and give praise and worship.

Services will alternate on a weekly basis between St James the Great and St Peter's Woolley.

Enjoy a light lunch and friendly chat with friends old and new. Good food ,£8 for three courses with a tea or coffee to finish. Join us.

Once a month on Saturday mornings .

Why not join us at The Parish Church of St James the Great Chapelthorpe for a freshly made butty and your favourite brew. Don't eat bacon then try an egg butty. Then sit down at one of our tables and meet up with friends old and new.

The cost for a butty, hot drink and great company is only £3.
