It is a day to commemorate the contribution and loss of British and Commonwealth servicemen and women in the World Wars and all worldwide conflicts since.

There will be a further service held at the war memorial in Crigglestone Cemetery on Standbridge Lane where wreaths will be laid .

Effective from April 2026, the Benefice will enter a period of Interregnum. 
During this time, church leadership and services will be supported by covering clergy and lay members of the church until a new appointment is made.
