The Solemn Parish Mass on Sundays

Occurring
Every Sunday at for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
Christ Church, Staincliffe
Address
Staincliffe Hall Road Staincliffe Leeds, WF17 7QX, United Kingdom

We are two parishes but one community, and we alternate Sunday Mass between Christ Church Stancliffe and St. John's the Evangelist in Carlinghow. Please feel free to get in touch or check the notice sheet to see which church is hosting each Sunday.

The Solemn Mass on Sunday is family-friendly, accessible, and we welcome everyone to join us in worshipping God in the beauty of holiness.

The Parish Mass is traditional and Catholic, featuring high ceremonial elements such as incense, bells, and plain chant, alongside beautiful vestments. It includes a homily/sermon, prayers, and scriptural readings, with the climax of the service being the celebration and administration of Holy Communion. The service concludes with the Angelus (or Regina Coeli during Easter) and is followed by refreshments and delicious biscuits!
