Baptism Policy

You can have a baptism in Kirk Smeaton Church if you live here, if your have family who live in these parishes, if you used to live here but have moved, if you were baptised or confirmed here, or if you have a grandparent buried in the Churchyard. We will also allow it if you were married here, or if you are on the Church’s electoral roll because you worship here regularly.

Baptisms only take place in the Sunday service at 9.15am and only on the Second Sunday of the month. Mothering Sunday (usually in March) is an exception and we like to have baptisms then.
