Easter Vigil Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Michael's Church, East Ardsley
Address
Church Lane East Ardsley Wakefield, WF3 2LJ, United Kingdom

In this service we are mindful that on Easter Sunday we remember that our Lord Jesus Christ was raised gloriously from the dead, crushing the power of sin and destroying the sting of death. Throughout the world Christians celebrate the mighty power of God as Christ calls us out of darkness to share in his marvellous light. Mindful of our calling and our prayer that we, and all Christ’s people, may shine as lights in the world to the glory of God the Father it is in this service that we light our Paschal Candle acknowledging that it is always darkest before the dawn, but the dawn will come and we hold such hope in Christ.

St Michael's Church, East Ardsley

We are a family-friendly Anglican (Church of England) Church based in the East Ardsley parish, in the South Leeds Deanery, part of the Leeds Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Leeds.

If you've never been to Church before and that feels daunting to you, you could always arrange to meet with our Priest in Charge, Revd Mark, beforehand. He would be more than happy to answer any questions and seek to address any concerns you might have.
