St Mary's

Welcome to St Mary's Church! Our main service takes place every Sunday at 9.30am. At the present time this is live-streamed only on our Facebook page 'St Mary's Old Basing and Lychpit' and then uploaded to our YouTube Channel. We are committed to praying daily for the parish and to serving our neighbour. Our worship includes both traditional and modern elements as we witness an inclusive expression of faith in Jesus Christ. It is our prayer that whether you are joining us for a brief visit or whether St Mary's becomes your spiritual home, you will find a welcoming community which reflects God’s love and care.

Our church building is currently open for individual prayer Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm, and Sunday 11:30am to 3pm.

St Mary's is a member of Inclusive Church - a church which celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.

Safeguarding

The parish of St Mary's Old Basing and Lychpit is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Winchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA at [email protected] or 01962 737317. The 'out-of-hours' number is 0300 555 1373. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
