Music and Worship

The first organ was located in the apse of what we now call the Lady Chapel.
In 1886, a new organ was acquired from a Mr Sims, an organ builder of Bellevue in Southampton. This was placed in the North Chancel aisle following the removal of the ‘children’s pews’ behind the choir stalls.
In the 1960s, the Sims organ was replaced by the organ in use today. The current organ was built by Geo. Osmond & Co of Taunton . It is a three-manual electro-pneumatic organ.
