The event at St Mary's on the 9th January was a really lovely occasion which some 16 or 17 people enjoyed. The church was warm and the atmosphere cosy and happy. Some tables were set with red paper ‘cloths’ and coffee, Epiphany cake and shortbread were served. The tree was still up with its lights on, the Crib scene had its full complement of characters – the Wise Men having arrived a couple of days earlier ! – and there were lots of candles and greenery on windowsills.
