Thanks to National Lottery players and our local community, with our Bat Walk, we have now completed a two-year heritage and community engagement project. Major works to the C14th tower have been undertaken and we have reopened the tower for guided tours (with a video tour also available as an alternative). During the tower works a Lime Mortar Skills Workshop attracted a group of 30 attendees and 27 people braved a scaffolding tour! A host of other activities have been very well supported. The programme has included (amongst other things) visits from a range of groups, societies and the local primary school. We were also delighted to work with University College Birmingham (UCB) undergraduate students on a student 'live case study' assignment. Heritage Open Days over the two years drew many new visitors to the church. A range of interpretation assets has also been developed.
