It was a great privilege for St Peter's Upper Arley to host the marriage service for Katie and Dougie during the summer of 2026. The church was beautifully decorated and was filled with family and friends of the couple and this provided a fantastic atmosphere for the service.
With them both having an interest in heritage railways, they left the church under an arch of firing shovels followed by a shower of natural confetti made up of dried rose petals from the garden of the groom's mother.
Katie and Dougie have since been in touch to express their appreciation for the support they received both before their wedding, as they made their preparations and on the day itself and they have sent a few photos to us which they are happy for us to share.
We wish them both well in their married life together.
