Work carried out at the end of April 2025 has temporarily made the roof and guttering waterproof. This is to prevent water ingress into the inside of the building. An investigation was also done to look at any potential damage to internal plaster work.

The plan is to let any damp areas naturally dry out during the summer months, before commencing work in September / October.

You may have noticed in July that the gates at the east end of the churchyard have been removed, and the brick pillars lowered. This was due to loose sandstone blocks and plinths, and were considered dangerous. The light "arch" has also been removed. At some stage, these might be replaced, however, we kind of quite like them as they are, although a light must be re-connected. Please tell us your thoughts?
