Ash Wednesday Eucharist

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Thomas' Church
Address
Market Street Stourbridge, DY8 1AQ, United Kingdom

Ash Wednesday might seem somber from the outside, but at its heart, it’s an invitation to a 'reset'. It’s a day dedicated to acknowledging our imperfections and the temporary nature of life—honouring the fact that we don’t have to have everything together all the time. Marking the start of Lent, Ash Wednesday provides a quiet moment to strip away the external noise, pause the 'performance' of daily life, and sit with the truth of who we are, flaws and all. Think of it as a collective deep breath and a chance to focus on what truly matters before the rush of the year takes over.
There’s worship on Ash Wednesday at 11:30am and 7:30pm, with the offer of the traditional ‘Imposition of Ashes’ at each service. Everyone is welcome.

St Thomas' Church

St Thomas' Church is a Grade 1 listed Georgian building, featuring attractive stained glass and an unusual barrel-vaulted ceiling.

St Thomas' is at the spiritual and physical heart of Stourbridge's vibrant town centre. You'll find a warm welcome to our traditional Anglican worship, and we boast a fine musical worship tradition with a regular programme of concerts, recitals and other events.
